Nashville Inspection Requirements

Some private property owners with stormwater control measures (SCMs) on their property are required to submit an annual inspection report regarding those SCMs to metro water services. Whether an inspection is required or not is based on when the grading permit was issued. This can be determined by following this Metro issued guide for finding the permit number. Once found, it is the first four digits that indicate what year the permit was issued. If it was issued prior to 2008 then no annual report is required, and if it was issued from 2008 to the present then an annual inspection report is required to be turned it by the 1st of July each year.
